My Creative Space : Need Buttons

Doesn't it just frustrate you when you are zooming along creating something, and you get to a certain point and then realise you have no buttons/zips/clasps/ribbon to finish it off?

Well, that's where I am at with this little jacket for my nephew Cedar. Now, I have quite a stash of buttons so in no way did I think I needed to buy any, but alas, I do :-P

So until I get back to the shops, this is where it's at...

But in other creative endeavours, I have managed to finish off this little beanie for my friend's little girl...

I really love the over-sized flower on the beanie - it reminds me of the 1920's flapper style which I find beautiful.

Hopefully I will have something more to show after the school holidays, with a stack of WIP's I really should finish, as well as a couple of custom orders.

Happy creating, wherever you are!

  1. Even unfinished your little jacket looks great!

  2. I love your hat. It's gorgeous! Also, I scrolled down to your lego party - love it! Where on earth did you find the cookie cutter?

  3. I just love that little beanie. Very cute!:-)

  4. I's very annoying to break off and go and find what you need when you're in the mood to finish it! I love your nephew's name...Cedar..has a great ring to it..he'll look just fine in his new jacket too!

  5. Gotta love that green! I feel frustrated for you. x

  6. Wow I am the opposite, so many buttons and nothing to put them onto. Love the flower on the beanie.

  7. Isn't it always the way. a button in every shape size and colour than the one you actually want. love the jacket and beanie.

  8. Cedar is a lucky boy and yes very much the flapper style in the beanie. Your kiddos are handsome boys.

  9. Love the look of that beanie - can I ask where you bought the hat stand from? I am sending a heap of beanies off to market with a friend soon and a few of these would be fab:)

Thanks so much for stopping by. I love reading your comments - they really warm my heart. So thank you!
