A couple of recent photos

Just thought I'd quickly pop up some photos taken by my sis-in-law Reeze last week, of the kids at the park. Especially for Mum & Dad :-)

Also, some exciting news. Our new little nephew was born only a little while ago (maybe 2 hours ago). No details yet, just a confirmation that he is here from his proud dad. Will post later with all the information. Yay, so excited!

Outside Fun

Finished this layout for Round 7 of Scrapping with the Stars. The challenge was issued by Ngaire Bartlam to include a tree in your layout (or a decorated xmas tree) and I thought it would go perfectly with these outside photos of Jude. Had fun playing with the Hambly rub-ons, and the American Craft felt thickers are a new favourite of mine :-)

We've been having a fun few days. On Xmas day, we met up with family for lunch at an Irish Pub and then we took the kids to see "Enchanted" at the movies. Such a sweet, feel-good movie - just the way I like it. Yesterday Roh, I and the kids braved the Boxing Day Sales at Knox, mainly just getting a few kids clothes, a new board game for the kids and some Transformers for the biggest kid, my hubby :-P

I am hoping for a quiet few days ahead, after such a hectic week. But we'll see.

Take care. Thanks for visiting!

Umm..

Can't really think of a title tonight..LOL.

Firstly, some news. I resigned from my payroll job on Wednesday. It's a huge relief. I've still got another 3 weeks work there but then that's it - yay - I'm so over payroll :-P. There were lots of reasons behind the resignation, with the main reason being just bad timing, as Lana starts kindy next year and goes on a Wednesday, which just didn't fit in with my work schedule, and with work being an hour away, I just couldn't squeeze it in. I've been there for almost two years, and then for another year before Jude was born, so it's going to be a big change in our weekly schedule, but really, that's just life. An ever-moving, ever-evolving schedule :-)

Now a layout share. I thought I'd have a go at this month's 'Scrapjacked' challenge which was to scraplift a layout by the talented Sarah VanWijck, so here's my take on it :

Have a fab Friday! :-)

Alannah's Kindy Photos

Here you go Hayley :-P

Actually there is a bit of a story that go with Alannah's kindy photos - her actual photos taken by the professional kindy photographer went missing...actually the photographer had no recollection of them at all...very strange, because she was definitely at kindy on that day. Anyway, after quite a few weeks of chasing the photographer with no luck, one of the Dad's offered to take the photos, and these are his. So thanks Adam! And what was even cooler, was that I got them on disk...very handy!

Also you might notice that her pigtails are very uneven...not my fault. In the first few photos her pigtails are even, but one must have fallen out, and was put back in, in a very odd spot..LOL..oh well :-) Still cute to me.

Hmm...New Stock

Yesterday the super funky Rouge De Garance range called "Picoti Picota" arrived. Here are just three of the 10 papers. Again all double-sided, with a complementing colour on the back.

Also on their way are some of the new chipboard designs from Buzz & Bloom, designed by the lovely Lusi Austin. They should be here early next week.

Other things new in store : Scenic Route Paper Co "Loveland" range, Love Elsie "Zoe" papers and cardstock, 2 new class kits designed by the talented Tam Milborn and some Hambly 12x12 Overlays.

Will do another post later today, with Lana's first kindy photos. So cute :-)

Red Nose Boy

Just a quick layout share. These adorable photos were taken by Teresa, and I just love them. Jude was born on 24 June 2005, which happened to be Red Nose Day that year. This is a cause that has always moved me to donate to, or be involved with due to the tragic outcomes that some families go through, so the more research that they can do, and the more answers they can find, the better off we will all be. It also makes me reflect how lucky I am to have my two. I must admit that when they were just babies, it was something that I was worried about, even possibly paranoid about. Sometimes even now, I still check on my two during the night, to make sure they are breathing. Anyhow, sorry, bit off track there. I did this layout for the Scrap Therapy comp, with this challenge set by Carole Jansen, being to make something 3D on your layout, so I had a chipboard circle, that I then beaded, for my 3D effect.

We've been having a social weekend, this weekend. Teresa and my friend Kate were over on Friday night for a drink, chat and a little bit of scrapping. Then yesterday we took the kids to the movies to see "The Bee Movie". It was Jude's first time at the cinemas, and he fell asleep about two thirds into it..cute little thing :-). But now apparently it is HIS Bee Movie....LOL. And then we headed out to Nathan & Teresa's for a BBQ dinner. Very yummy!

That's about it so far. Now I'm off to find my table underneath supplies and Alannah's craft supplies too :-P

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

A bit of Buble...Michael that is :-)

Today tickets to the Michael Buble concerts became available...and I got some - yay!. In June, Teresa, Nathan, Glenn and my mum-in-law Pam and I are going to enjoy a couple of hours of live music by the talented Mr Buble....and I can't wait!

Not much else to report so far. On the weekend, I managed to finish this layout of my two with their Nanny. Had a play with the Sassafras Lass Owl Pals range, as well as some American Craft Thickers (now available at Kiti Q). I'm happy with this layout, and I love the fact that it's captured a special moment between a grandparent and her grandkids. A real life moment. Something to cherish. I'm sure my kids will love layouts like this when they are my age.
