Last Issue of FK Creative Scrapbooking

It's very exciting to be part of a team that is moving forward with it's readers, and this is what Creative Living Media are doing. This month's For Keeps Creative Scrapbooking and also Australian Papercrafts are celebrating their last issue, as is, but new to come is a combination of these magazines - For Keeps Creative Paper. This mag is going to be a bumper issue every month with 196 pages of ideas, projects, articles and inspiration. I can't wait to see the first edition in June - it's going to be very cool!

The current For Keeps is just hitting news stands now and I have a couple of layouts in it. I did the double layout (double layouts are very rare for me!) of Lana's first Zoo outing quite a while ago, but I still really like it. But who can go past black & white polka dots - not me :-P

Big Congrats to my friend Michelle who is featured in this issue's "Introducing" too - well done chickie! The layouts look fab :-)

Not much else to share. I have an almost finished layout on my desk, so might pop that up here a bit later.

Enjoy your Thursday!

Just for fun

(Image removed for Publication - Pure Love"

Just finished this layout for a challenge over at the Scrap Lounge cybercrop which started last weekend, and upload deadline was tonight, so I just got in with this entry. But it was mainly a layout created just for fun, and just for me.

I am absolutely LOVING the new Sass Lass papers, and that's coming from me as a scrapper, not a shop owner. The last two layouts I have done, have both used new Sass Lass stuff, and have just flowed, which has been fantastic. You know, especially when sometimes the scrapping mojo goes awol...lol

We've not got a lot planned for this weekend. Just a cruisy family one. We are all heading off to a local primary school tomorrow for their school fete - it is actually the school where Lana will be going next year, so I can't wait to show her. There is promise of baby animals, show rides, art show and temporary tattoos..woo hoo!..he he...I've always wanted a small tattoo but will never ever get one, not a real one anyway - I'm a scaredy cat, but a temporary non-needle one could be very cool..we'll see.

Stay safe. Enjoy your weekend :-)

Hugs,
Kell

Sometimes you just have to treat yourself...

And this is what I treated myself with. A new Spencer & Rutherford handbag. I got it at a fantastic price, BNWT from ebay and I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!

Pink, Pink, Pink

Pink - it seems to be a bit of a theme for me today.

Here is a layout that I finished on the weekend, using new Sassafras Lass Sunshine Lollipop papers - did I tell you how much I'm loving the new Sass Lass products? Well, I am having fun with them, that's for sure! I love these photos that Dan took of my sis-in-law Reeze and Alannah. These two have such a special bond and these photos really capture that.

The other bit of pink in my world today is Pink Paislee - it's finally here - yay!! It arrived on my doorstep today and I have only, just in the last five minutes, finished uploading it to Kiti Q. It is gorgeous. Here are a few tastes of what they offer.

I had another fun parcel arrive today - my new, much desired Spencer & Rutherford handbag that I won off of ebay - at a great price. It is gorgeous and I will share a piccie tomorrow. I must admit that I am a bag and shoes kinda girl and this bag is just beautiful.

Have a great night!

A couple of crafty things..

I know my blog has been a little neglected the last few weeks - sorry! But to be honest, other than layouts/projects for For Keeps I haven't been creating that much, so haven't had much to show.
I did just finish this layout this afternoon. Photos were taken by Danielle and I just LOVE these photos of Sienna - she's such a spunk! I actually started this layout about two weeks ago - see what I mean, slack...LOL...

I've also found a new hobby - making Softies. I finished my first one this week, which is a beetle bug design by Carly Schwerdt from a Softies book that I bought - I think you can buy it at Borders. I love mixing up the fabrics and they are just so little and cute, and quite quick to make too. Hmm, I think my next one is an owl. I'm hoping that after I've made a few from other people's designs that I will gain the confidence to design some of my own....here's hoping anyway :-P

My parents were over for a long weekend last week, and we had fun, as always, just hanging out. We all headed up to Sky High in Mt Dandenong on Sunday - it was such a beautiful day - and after a leisurely lunch we ran the kids through the hedge maze. They had a ball! My photos didn't turn out too well - too bright - but Dan had her camera as well, so I'm sure there will be some fab shots from her.

Congratulations to Rach Scholz and Kim Ogden on winning the SIA Commercial Design Team Award during the week - well done ladies! What a huge adrenalin rush winning that must have been.

Not much else happening at the moment. Have a fabulous weekend!

New For Keeps

Just a super quick post with my latest project in the new For Keeps. It's been photographed a little paler than what it actually is, so here is the right colouring :-)

Hope you've had a fab weekend. Will be back with some piccies of our day soon :-)
