Love Me Some Quotes

I am a huge fan of inspirational, sometimes funny and feel-good quotes, and love to see them in prints, on housewares, on jewellery...lots of places really...so I went for a bit of a search on Etsy and Made It and have a few fun and lovely ones to share on this rainy Sunday morning.

A lovely Winnie The Pooh quote from Raw Art Letter Press
Aunty Cookie's very cool tote bag

Dazey Chic has a lot of cute and sweet quote art, including this one.

Beatles Song Lyrics on a pendant..very cool...from Texas Girl Designs

And just for us coffee drinkers...this made me giggle...from Snappy Mirrors

To Market, To Market

So I'm finally putting up some photos from the Mulgrave Makers Market, that I went to on Sunday. Melbourne performed well with the weather, thank goodness, and the people were a-plenty :-P.

I sold a few bags which was nice, and got a feel for what people liked most. And I got to meet, as well as catch up with some other lovely ladies who had stalls there.

Danielle was there with her beautiful photography and wall art. Jane was there with her cute little garden cutlery. Eleesa was there with her vintage inspired products like this funky pin cushion that I bought - isn't it cool? I love it!

And I also met the sweet Wendy with her gorgeous children clothes creations, and also the talented Cath from Leaf with her journals and story starter cards, who was one of my neighbours.

So all in all it was a fun day, and I just love the craft community here in Melbourne...it's so refreshing and fabulous.

I'm booked in to the December Mulgrave Makers Market, which should be another great day, and I'm also tossing up whether or not to do a new local community market which is in mid November...hmm...still not sure...

Hope your week is travelling well.

A Little Bit of Cuteness...

Levi keeping me company while I folded loads (and loads!) of clean washing.

Will be back with some photos from the market, as well as some fab blog links of stall-holders I met there :-)

My Creative Space..

is just a little chaotic at the moment.

With the Mulgrave Makers Market looming on Sunday, I've been madly sewing between mum duties and life duties. My crafting nook and kitchen bench are both buried under fabric, wool, pins, interfacing, brooch pins...you get the idea :-P

Things are coming along but I may be pulling a couple of wee hour bedtimes over the next couple of nights. My sweet hubby has offered to do some cutting of fabric to help me out, so I might get him working a bit tonight too.

Here is one of the bags that will be for sale at the market - repurposed from a jumper, with full lining and a crochet flower on a brooch pin (for use elsewhere, or relocation on the bag, or whatever you like really).

There are a few new bag styles that will be at the market too...but back to the grind for me....after I put dinner on, of course :-P

So many more fabulous creative spaces over at Kirsty's this week, including my super creative sis-in-law Reeze.

Maybe I'll see you Sunday?

Project Weekender Bag - Complete!

I finished the Amy Butler Weekender Bag on Sunday night - yay!

I would have had it finished last Thursday, but after hand-stitching the lining in, I realised that I had stitched it in too close to the zip and the zip was jamming, so un-pick it I did :-P. Now the zip works perfectly, so I'm happy, and so is Kylie, thank goodness!
