Last weekend I spent my Sunday at the Mulgrave Makers Market, with my lovely friend Kate.
It was quite quiet, being Easter weekend, but I did manage to pick up a couple of things that I have had my eye on for awhile.
These earrings....
Now I had these earrings, by Looby & Lulu, on my wishlist back in December, but they had sold out. So when I saw them last Sunday, I just had to buy them, and they are just too cute!
And then these lovely spoons.....
from my friend Jane (we go way back to my Kiti Q days) and her business Kabwares. One of the spoons (the more decorative one, which is actually mostly hidden behind the tag :-P) reminds me so much of my childhood - either my parents or grandparents had this same set, or something eerily similar - so with that nostalgia in mind, I just couldn't leave it behind.
And buying direct from the Makers is such a lovely way to shop too, don't you think?
xx
Those little birdie earrings are so cute and I love the spoons, they're such a clever idea. Buying straight from the maker is such a nice way to shop knowing who created it and helping to support their craft too, I totally agree. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat buys..you've got good taste!
ReplyDeleteyes, those earrings are cute. now that my hair is short i wear more big earrings again.
ReplyDeletei also love buying at a market from the maker, unfortunately in my particular area we don't seem to have much variety. but i still love to browse and see if somebody came up with something new and pretty.
